History

In 2005, Meraj Syed started the business and lifestyle magazine Månadens Entrepreneur “Entrepreneur of the Month” and produced the website Ment.se. The focus was on delivering fast, cocky and easy to read business news and lifestyle news for the stressed entrepreneur. The idea was not to copy news concepts that already existed. The magazine could also help small and medium businesses to be visible and get more attention. It was therefore decided to appoint an “Entrepreneur of the Month”. This award was presented to the company that built up a successful business through hard work and persistence..

Meraj Syed felt it was time to create a digital magazine that was sent out to companies partly for the sake of environment and partly to show their advertisers real statistics on how many people have been seen to click on each banner.

Månadens Entrepreneur had 3 main features:

1.    CD magazine Månadens Entrepreneur. Number of issues per year: 5, Circulation: 200 000
2.    Internet www.ment.se
3.    Newsletter issued twice a day, Monday-Friday and once a day on Saturday and Sunday.

Target Group:

1.    Decision-makers in small and medium-sized companies.
2.    Marketing, advertising, product and information managers throughout the whole country.
3.    Project managers and human resource managers
4.    Business organisations

The Present Time

Following a period of strong expansion in which the company increased its rate of turnover and also its browser-rate much faster than its competitors we came to a decision. Expand beyond Sweden's borders. The expansion came onto a market that is dynamic and the business culture ideal for business and lifestyle magazines, namely, the GCC area = Gulf States and India. With international expansion a name change was inevitable. The company needed a strong name that was easy to remember. NEWZGLOBE.COM became a name that clearly explains the activities of the company. On 01-02-2010-01 Meraj Syed's birthday, Newzglobe.com was launched in Sweden. On 15-02-2010 Meraj's son's birthday, Newzglobe.com was launched in the GCC and India.
