At the highest apex of the fashion world, iconic designers such as Hermes and Gucci are perceiving the Arabic and Islamic fashions in more than one way. This comes as no surprise, as the international Islamic fashion industry is estimated to be worth more than 96 billion USD. According to a study conducted by Tamara Hostal, director and founder of Esmod Dubai, upwards of 50 percent of the worlds 1.6 billion Muslims spend 120 USD or more per year on clothing goods and fashion accessories.

“We can see Arabian styles steadily influencing European street fashion, which proves the potential of this emerging niche,” says Hostal.

The Arabian Fashion World event was held last year in April at the Inter Continental London Park Lane. This alone is proof enough that the Arabic and Islamic fashion trends are taking hold to a permanent and solidified place in the international fashion marketplace.

There are approximately 16 million Muslims in the European Union. This represents a potential clothing and dry goods marketplace bonanza of 960 million USD to 1.5 billion USD a year! In this case it would be counter intuitive and a very unwise business decision to not make the Arabian Fashion World event an annual happening.

The Arabic designers have truly embraced the implementation of modernism with a touch of Islamic tradition to match the new contemporary lifestyles that active wearers and consumers have.

The fashion police of the world are always looking for something original, something innovative and novel; and such as the case it seems as if Arabic and Islamic culture and fashion has delivered just what they ordered up and wished for. A sleek and trendy compilation of something boldly exotic and totally hip!
