Local women on the roll

From less than 3% involvement to almost 14% involvement, women in UAE have certainly strengthened their role in domestic development of their country as they step more and more into the labor market.
From minimal contribution when the UAE was created thirty nine years ago, women now constitute a major portion of the country’s work force and their share is to further rise in the future. An Abu-Dhabi based social reporter says that there are hundreds of women now graduating from colleges and universities and are very willing to contribute to the social and economical development of their nation and show more efficiency in the work place.
These days local women are very encouraged by the country’s leaders through their recurrent statements to participate more and more in the economy of the nation. There is however, still the question of social curbs that hinder a full fledge participation but the future looks very bright for well educated and ambitious women who are now being accepted more and more in the work place and are appreciated to the point of cutting employment of local men since their jobs are now being taken by the local women.
