After checking in at Emirates First Class check-in counter in Dubai, the robot relaxed in the First Class lounge. Accompanying him on the trip was Dr Nikolaos Mavridis, Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the UAE University College of Information Technology in Al Ain.
The travel was preceded by a lot of preparation. Before the ticket was bought, the travel had to be cleared by the Dubai Police, the Dubai International Airport and Emirates’ safety team.
The robot is one of the most advanced in the world. He is able to speak and understands Arabic, as well as recognize faces.
